Here, Have A Virus, U.S. Companies Infected

Servers at several U.S. companies such as Comcast, ABC, and Coca-Cola have been shut down by a new email virus that spreads when users reading their email click on a PDF file that is really an executable file.

Read on to find out what happens when you click it…

The virus, which has been named “Here You Have”, which is what is in the email’s subject line, installs malicious software, then sends viral emails to others in the user’s contact list. The virus also tries to steal the user’s passwords.

You’d think by now that people would not click on things in emails when they don’t know who the sender is, but some say it is hard to resist clicking on links in emails, especially when the email says they have won something or that they are getting something free.

Anti virus software company McAfee posted this on their website Thursday afternoon:

“It looks like multiple variants may be spreading and may take some time to work through them all to paint a clearer picture.”
