Coffee Prices Going Up, Prepare For Riots

  • As if coffee wasn’t expensive enough, prepare to shuck out a little more, as much as 10% more, for that morning cup of crack. Poor weather conditions in South America coupled with hoarding from Vietnam and Brazil along with low U.S. stockpiles are said to responsible for the price hike, and it hits virtually every coffee brand you may like.

Read on to find out which brands are affected…

Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and Green Mountain coffee all say prices have already risen 10-15%, and those little pre-ground Keurig coffee cups everyone loves may rise even more.

One good thing is that not all franchises might raise prices, such as Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

The price on the market currently is around $1.95, and experts will watch closely as the price per pound approaches the important $2 mark.

This could mean people start cutting back on buying their coffee out and will start brewing their own at home to take on the road, which is what I do. But, historically I haven’t seen anyone cutback as coffee prices rise, the stuff is just TOO addictive.
