Another Empty Bomb Threat Evacuates Paris’ Eiffel Tower

The famous monument was evacuated Tuesday after a call was placed from a nearby pay phone to police claiming there was a bomb hidden somewhere within the 1,063 ft tall heavily visited structure built in 1889.

This is the second time in a month a bomb threat was made on the Eiffel Tower, including recent threats by Islamic militants of Al Qaeda to bomb the central St.-Lazare train station on Monday after French officials warned of a terrorist attack on French soil.
