The theme of this years 2010 Halloween Parade down 6th avenue in Manhattan will be “Memento Mori”, which is Latin for “Remembrance of Death”.

And death is what you will get if you bring a vehicle within a thousand feet of the parade. Officials warn party goers and parade participants to use mass transit.

Special guest this year will be Haitian Carnival Artist and Painter Didier Civil.

Streets west of 6th Avenue will be closed off by police.

During the 2008 Halloween Parade In New York City, Michael Jackson was a big hit.
