BREAKING NEWS FROM THE AP
An 8.9 magnitude earthquake that rocked northern Japan and sent a 13 foot wall of water surging across the countryside of Honshu has claimed at least 5 lives with 30 injured, with the death count expected to rise as the full magnitude of the destruction is seen.
At least eighteen aftershocks have been reported as high as 7 magnitude.
Parts of cities have literally been washed away and cars tried to outrun the wall of water.
This is the biggest earthquake to hit Japan in at least 300 years.
20 countries are now in a coastal flood watch from the tsunami wave unleashed by the quake.
