iPhone users complained their privacy was being violated when a log file containing users location data was discovered buried in the iPhone's software.

Apple released an update today to their iPhone operating system to address problems of iPhone and iPad user’s GPS location data being stored in huge log files.

The phones were storing months worth of user’s data that showed GPS coordinates of where they were and at what time.

Apple says the fix will store location data for only a week to allow its GPS software to work.
