Sony has finally gotten their act together after a data breach weeks ago and is bringing its Playstation Network back online as slow as humanly possible.
Who knows what took them so long. Was it because they needed to add security that was never there in the first place?
As part of the “welcome back” process, users are being forced to download an update that forces them to reset their passwords…as if they hadn’t thought of that already.
Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kazuo Hirai said they are “working around the clock” to bring services back online and plans to make the protection of consumer data a “full-time, company-wide commitment” even though that’s kind of what you should be doing anyway.
Hirai also delved into the “goodies” or “bribe” ahem…that will be offered users who weren’t able to play online for 3 weeks as a gesture of good will.
