A grizzly bear was captured and shot for breaking into chicken coups and eating chickens in Montana.
Just last year, the grizzly attacked and killed more than 100 chickens and had broken into at least eight chicken coops, two garages, and a house. DNA analysis links the bear to the killings.
Chicken bones and other material were found in the bear’s droppings.
Wildlife management officials tell residents to secure their property with electric fencing to ward off problem bears.
