63 year old Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Ahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates and heir to an oil fortune, has carved his name into an island he owns in Abu Dhabi.

The word HAMAD stretches two miles long across the island, forming rivers and trenches in the sand. It is visible using Google.

Hamad will not disclose how much it cost for his name carving, but he is known for extravagance and likes to build things big.

Google Maps shows Hamad's name carved into his private island in Abu Dhabi (FROM GOOGLE EARTH).

He is said to have some 200 cars including seven Mercedes painted in different colors of the rainbow which he keeps in a giant pyramid.

He built the world’s largest truck that includes four bedrooms inside the truck’s cabin and built an earth shaped motor home that is one millionth the size of the actual earth.

But stop there if you think he only spends money on himself. Hamad donates money to medical causes and he built and operates a kidney hospital in Morocco.
