The launch has been delayed again due to bad weather until Sunday night at the earliest.
NASA has delayed the launch of five rockets designed to study weather patterns in the atmosphere until Friday night.
The rockets to be launched from Wallops Launch Facility on Virginia’s coast will release a chemical into the atmosphere that will create clouds allowing meteorologists to study the jet stream.
The rockets will leave clouds that will be visible for up to 20 minutes by residents from South Carolina to southern New Hampshire and Vermont.
The jet stream’s shift northward has been one of the causes of the warm winter the eastern U.S. has been experiencing.
The reason for the delay was an internal radio frequency interference issue with one of the rockets.

I saw the rockets this morning from central NJ at around 5:07 AM – 5:12 AM. I didn’t know about them until I found this article when I came home. Thanks.

I didn’t get to see them glad you did. They kept delaying launches so many times I thought they would ever launch them.
