Rutgers student found guilty of hate crime in webcam spying case, could be deported to India

    According to testimony, former Rutgers student Dharun Ravi posted on Twitter about gay roommate Tyler Clementi:

    “Roommate asked for the room till midnight. I went into molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay.”

    Ravi also texted a friend that he was setting up a “viewing party”.

    Clementi jumped to his death off the George Washington Bridge after he discovered Ravi streamed a live video to other students of Clementi kissing another man in their dormroom.

    He posted an update on Facebook moments before his death: “Jumping off the gw bridge, sorry.”
