Man dies, burned alive in inferno lumber truck crash on I-95

A man is dead in a fiery lumber truck crash on I-95 just outside the city at I-395. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck struck the barrier along 95 at 395, bursting into flames after diesel fuel in the truck ignited. Hazmat crews are on the scene.

There are reports of lumber scattered all over I-95.

Traffic is rapidly backing up on I-95 northbound at 395. Take U.S. Route 1 as an alternate or 295 to get downtown.

Traffic webcam is showing about 20 police cars on scene and two firetrucks trying to quench the flames.

Stay tuned to find out if fire will affect morning commute into the city on 395.

It would be wise to avoid these areas heading out of or into the city.

I-95 will be closed to allow crews to investigate and clean up the scene.
