Two Florida men could face jail time after one man filmed his friend “jumping” on a manatee.
The Florida Manatee Sanctuary Act makes it illegal to injure, harm, harass, capture or attempt to capture a Florida manatee.
Officer Lenny Salberg of the the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said that they are hot on the trail of the two men and that they know who they are and should find them in the next few days.
If state charges are filed the two men could face up to six months in jail.
This is not new. A Florida man and two children were caught in photos lifting and petting a manatee before sitting on top of it.
