$735 later and no Xbox, just this lousy photo

Clearly this teen father may not be ready for adulthood just yet.

Peter Clatworthy, a 19-year-old in the UK, thought he was buying an XBOX One, Microsoft’s newest gaming console, but received only a photo of the console from the eBay UK seller.

“It said ‘photo’ and I was in two minds, but I looked at the description and the fact it was in the right category made me think it was genuine,” he explained to the Nottingham Post.

So wait, the listing actually said “photo” in the title. Oh boy…

The seller wrote “Thank you for your purchase” on the back of the photo.

Others may have been duped. Ebay UK removed several copycat listings with the title “Xbox One Fifa 14 Day One Edition, Photo Brand New UK 2013.”

Clatworthy has been told he will get a full refund. I think that’s a little too generous. It said what it was in the title.
