As part of a tall ship celebration at Fort McHenry celebrating the anniversary of the writing of the U.S. national anthem, the Blue Angels will come back from retirement and perform for an event called the Star Spangled Air Show.
The Blue Angels were grounded as part of the government sequester earlier this year.
The Blue Angels drew record crowds to downtown Baltimore when they last performed in 2012. Now they will be performing again to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the writing of the national anthem of the United States when Francis Scott Key penned a poem in 1814 about the Battle of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812.
