Ravens kicker Justin Tucker told Baltimore coach John Harbaugh “I got it” before going out to kick a 61 yard field goal with under a minute remaining to win it 18-16 over the Detroit Lions, making the Super Bowl champion Ravens a playoff threat again this year.
This after Tucker kicked five earlier field goals to keep the Ravens in the game.
Tucker said during pregame warmups he was sitting 70 yards. On his in game 61 yard attempt, the ball hit the crossbar and went through.
Detroit’s record falls to 7-7 and Baltimore is now 8-6 behind the 9-5 Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North.
Baltimore’s next opponent are the 10-4 Patriots Sun Dec 22 4:25pm which will truly test their strength as a defending Super Bowl team.
