U.S. and Turkey to evacuate embassies in Iraq, tell citizens to get out

    As Sunni ISIS militants move on Baghdad, the situation there is deteriorating rapidly.

    The U.S. is preparing to shut down its embassy in Baghdad, after sunni militants known as ISIS in Iraq captured Turkish citizens from the Turkish consulate there.

    Images pouring out of Iraq show the militants driving cannons and artillery through the streets.



    The Obama administration has promised to put all options on the table to stop the insurgency, including putting U.S. forces back on the ground in Iraq. The U.S. has already sent in drones to attack the militants.

    Should the former U.S. base in Baghdad fall that cost taxpayers in the U.S. billions, the insurgency could quickly spread to Iran.
