7.8 magnitude earthquake rattles Ecuador’s coast

Ecuador’s president is saying that 233 people are dead in the aftermath of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

USA Today reported people running into the streets out of buildings that were swaying back and forth.

The quake’s epicenter was located 16 miles south-southeast of the coastal town of Muisine and 68 miles northwest of Santo Domingo de los Colorados, according to the USGS.
