I slipped on a rock and my feet plunged into an icy stream today doing some trail running.
It was 22 degrees F out.
Next time, take off your socks and shoes, walk through the stream barefoot if it isn’t too deep, then dry your feet off with your sweater or gloves on the other side.
Don’t go across with shoes on and risk plunging your whole shoe and socks into the icy river.
By the time I got back, my socks were frozen stiff along with shoelaces.
